FEED-WEIGH TROUGH

Content

This system is specially designed by experts and build with compact installation dimensions, so that it can easily be installed in both existing barns and new barns. The system is modular in construction, very robust and extremely durable, thus guarantees a long, trouble free lifetime with low maintenance costs to guarantee a low cost of ownership.

FEED-WEIGH TROUGH

The feed-weigh trough continuously and accurately weighs the contained feed. It can be used for restricted and unrestricted (ad-libitum) feeding practices. When a cow approaches one of the feed-weigh troughs, the system will identify the cow and data recording starts. For each visit, the starting and ending times and the continuous feed intake are registered.

FILLING AND CLEANING
The feed-weigh trough can easily be filled using either a mixer wagon, a TMR feed cart on a rail or by hand. The troughs fit together narrowly, so no feed is lost in between the troughs. The troughs can also be automatically tiltedhorizontally  and are designed with a slope, which ensuresthat residual feed is easily removed. In the Apollo managem ent software you can select which troughs to tilt in groups. The troughs are supported from the fence, so cleaning underneath is done easily. The troughs can even be removed and relocated as needed with a few easy manual actions.

INTELLIGENT FEEDING GATE

The intelligent feeding gate is a high-quality galvanised feeding gate with an access slide and cow Radio Frequency Identification sensors. The gate has a solid, yet open construction so it does not hinder the cow during feed intake. The vertical access slide grants cows accessto eat by sliding down when the cow approaches the intelligent feeding gate and slides back up after the visit to prevent stealing by other cows. The access slide can also be programmed with a set visiting time (per cow), after which the cow is pushed out of the eating position.
